Haxnicks release new product Videos

Loading...

At the Glee trade show this year, we premièred our new point-of-sale videos, two of which have just popped up on our Haxnicks YouTube channel, with more to follow soon.

Our first two point-of-sale displays, which came out back in September last year, were so popular with customers that we decided to create some more. They're all packed full of fun filled facts on how our innovative and versatile products can help you in your garden.

Our Rootrainers™ and Speedhoe™ videos have been firm favourites with Haxnicks' fans (click on the highlighted text to see them), so here are two more for you to enjoy.

Canetoppers™ - fantastically fun and safe solution for covering your cane ends. The 3 and 8 Teepee toppers are must-haves for using on home-made bamboo frames supporting sweet peas, climbers and beans.

Soft-Tie™ - if you're looking for an easier, more durable and more attractive solution to tying up plants, hoses, wires, canes, and all manner of other items (the list is endless) then here it is!

Glee 2010 Review

This year’s Glee, the garden and leisure industry’s most prominent trade show, proved to be the most successful one ever in the company's history.

Firstly, we showcased our daring new branding, in purple and green, featuring silhouetted family members hard at work in the garden, and the ‘love to grow’ strap line accompanying the new logo design. Many of our customers stopped by to pick up the 2011 catalogue and to compliment us on our new packaging designs. They enthused about the importance of appealing more directly to younger gardeners and the need to enhance our reputation as the innovative company we have always been.

New products announced for 2011 created a real buzz throughout the event.  Our new natural bamboo range, which was showcased at the new garden care products stand, drew in lots of inquisitive visitors, many of whom applauded our use of natural materials over excessive plastic and metallic structures. Look out for our Pergola, Decorative Arch, Pea & Bean and Sweet Pea Frames, Long and Round Fruit Cages and Tunnel Hoops available early next year.

As well as completing our Victorian Bell Cloche range with the King Size Victorian Bell™ we also launched our brand new book, Down to Earth (by Madeleine Cardozo) which proved to be very popular, so much so that we discovered quite a few had mysteriously disappeared along the way!

Our new point of display videos were a real hit – some of which can already be viewed on our YouTube channel. We’ll put up another blog post once the new Soft-Tie™, Potato Planters, Patio Planters™, Easy Tunnels™ and CaneToppers™ videos become available.

Trevor Pfeiffer (pictured) from Garden Trade News and Garden Radio was at the event, running through a few of this season’s best sellers. He chose to showcase our Vegetable Sack as it features in the GTN Bestsellers Garden Products Chart, and at one time it was the 14th most popular garden product!

All in all a great few days – thanks to everyone who helped make Glee 2010 a rip roaring success!

From Oak to Acacia - Press Release - July 2010

Grow-your-own specialist, Haxnicks is now using Acacia for the timber frames of their best-selling Hardwood Plant House and Cold Frame. The high quality acacia timber has much to recommend it. It is harder and slightly denser than oak, with a finer grain, and it naturally absorbs less water; all qualities which make it ideal for outdoor use and better suited for the timber frame construction.

The design of the Plant House and Cold Frame has been improved at the same time, with the addition of drainage holes along the front rail of the sloping lids, and pre-fixed door and lid hinges to make self-assembly even easier.

Please view the press release for more details.

Haxnicks Hardwood Plant House (RRP £179.99) and Haxnicks Hardwood Cold Frame (RRP £79.99) are available from garden centres and selected gardening catalogues and websites. For stockists or more information, please call Haxnicks on 0845 241 1555 or contact Philippa Anderson on 07766 827395 or philippa@haxnicks co.uk

It's the Holidays

Mid-August, - Sun, Holidays, and Harvest - we hope all your hard work has paid off and the vegetables are tasting good.

For Haxnicks, this is the time that we prepare for the new season -polishing off our new ideas and products, and visiting various Trade and Retail shows - Hampton Court, GLEE, Cologne and even Chicago. It's the season for us to make sure your local garden centre is well stocked for next year.
However, for you our customers, it is also a good time for you to stock up ready for the winter and we're currently offering 2 for 1 for any Fleece Jackets. Fleece Jackets can be used for bedded plants or container pots, in the vegetable garden, on the patio or for hanging baskets.

The concept is simple, save your plant from the cold frosts of winter. A Haxnicks Designer Fleece Jacket looks great in that garden and we have three types, 'Autumn', 'Snowflake' and 'Green Leaf', so plenty of choice is available. All Fleece Jackets come with a drawstring, so they are really easy to put on the plant.

So enjoy the harvest, and hopefully get some winter crops in the ground, but also start preparing your garden for the colder weather to come.
