Haxnicks Trade & Retail Services

Haxnicks are primarily a manufacturing company, and as such our core customers are garden centres, hardware stores, mail order catalogues and online shops. This post is here to highlight some of the advantages that our website offers to these Trade customers.

Firstly - we would encourage all of our trade customers to sign up to our website - just fill in the form. We vet all applicants to prevent unwarranted access to information, but by registering, you, as a Trade Customer, gain additional access to product information, outer quantities, product specifications, merchandiser options, photo and marketing material and so on.

This is an area that we are shortly to be expanding and we need your feedback. We would like to introduce online ordering, account management, special offers and more. So another reason to register with our website.

Secondly - we have to recommend subscribing to this blog, (just scroll down a little and you'll see the 'Follow Haxnicks News' box), we also think it is important that our Trade Customers start following us on Twitter and Facebook or LinkedIn. I know I hear you groan, but Facebook has overtaken Google as the most visited website in America. It's here to stay, let's use it.

For our part - we want to use this channel as a way to keep you updated and informed on our products, news and promotions. We are also NOT and I repeat NOT going to be starting a Newsletter in the short term, filling your inbox with junk mail is not our intention - but we still want to keep you updated and we believe short snippets of news via websites like Twitter are the best way to do this.

You can 'follow' our news and you can also give us feedback often and frequently and therefore we feel it is a win win situation.

Thirdly - We are making changes to our website and you will see these soon - it is going to become more Trade orientated - with clear emphasis on Trade & Retail and Professonal Growers - but to reiterate if you are registered with the website, you will see on every product page a 'Trade Info' button which will give you more information on the product.

We do understand concerns about our Haxnicks online shop, but would like to point out 2 reasons that our ecommerce should work for your benefit.
  1. Price points - we throughly encourage competition - but we also have RSP prices - our website sets a benchmark as all prices are always at full RSP, excepting end-of-line stock etc.
  2. Brand awareness - we continue to drive brand awareness for Haxnicks, we want to build the best relationship we can with customers so that when they see our products in other places they know who we are and what we do.
Let us know what you think - we encourage your feedback (please leave comments), so with this in mind if you are a trade retailer or grower - please register on our website and follow us on our Blogs, Twitter and Facebook and join us in making Haxnicks work for you.

Haxnicks Love to Grow Competition 2010

The Haxnicks Love to Grow Competition is here. We want to see who can grow the best looking plants and vegetables using our products - and we also want to say thanks to all of you who choose Haxnicks products. We take Gardening very seriously - its what we do - but we also think there should be some fun in everything. So here's the idea:

You grow your flowers and vegetables and take the best pictures that you can. Then simply e-mail them to us on sales@haxnicks.co.uk, along with your name, address and phone number. Or if you prefer send us a link to your Online Photo Gallery on any online photo service from Flickr to PhotoBox. On the last day of June, July and August, we will choose the winning photos for that month.

There are Gold, Silver and Bronze awards:
  • GOLD - £100 cash prize
  • SILVER - £50 of Haxnicks products
  • BRONZE - £25 of Haxnicks products
There is no limit to the number of photos you can send in - Judging will be based on - Quality of photographs (I'm thinking setting, background, Hi-Res etc) Quality/Quantity of growth. Ingenuity. And yes, the judges are bound to be open to a little humour too.

Winning photos will be published here, along with any other photos that we deem worthy of your time. Just so you know - The judges' decisions are final, all photos e-mailed to us become the property of Haxnicks Ltd, and may be used for publicity purposes if Haxnicks so chooses. Anyone sending photos of plants grown with products from a company other than Haxnicks should not be toooo hopeful.

So what are you waiting for - get snapping.

Haxnicks on YouTube

Haxnicks are launching on YouTube - it's a small start, but a big idea. We're keen and ready to go with 8 videos lined up and 2 finished and online.

What's the purpose, well we are really keen to make the most of all these other websites at the moment, we have been running a Facebook Page for some months now... Our Twitter account is working well and many of you are following us. We on various other websites as well, LinkedIn, Plaxo and so forth.

But the real reason we're doing all this is so that you can give us your feedback. To our mind pushing ideas, videos and content like this Post is only half the story - our aim is to give you the ability to tell us what you think by any means.

Send us an email - Tweet us - share us on Facebook - see us on LinkedIn, it is up to you. What we want to do is respond to your needs.

To further encourage you - please take up our Facebook Offer of a 5% discount on your entire order.  Just add the coupon code FB2010 when you checkout, we'll look forward to hearing from you, no matter how you want to contact us.
